Why Choose N-Type TOPCon Technology?

N-type TOPCon cell technology is designed to reduce carrier recombination losses and improve photovoltaic conversion efficiency. For project developers, the practical benefits are higher module power density, lower degradation characteristics and competitive temperature performance compared with earlier conventional module technologies.

The AOX-72M10HC also uses half-cut cells and SMBB interconnection to improve current collection and reduce electrical resistance while helping limit the impact of cell-level mechanical stress.

Bifacial Rear-Side Power Generation

Unlike a monofacial module, a bifacial module can convert sunlight reaching both the front and rear cell surfaces. Reflected irradiance from the ground, roof or surrounding surfaces can therefore contribute additional energy when the rear side of the module remains sufficiently exposed.

Ocean Solar's current datasheet provides example rear-side power-gain scenarios of 5% and 10%. For example, a 615W module corresponds to approximately 646W equivalent output at 5% rear-side gain and approximately 677W at 10% rear-side gain.

These figures are not guaranteed site energy gains. Actual bifacial contribution depends on ground albedo, module mounting height, row spacing, tilt angle, tracker configuration and rear-side shading. Utility-scale project modeling should use project-specific irradiance data and the current module bifaciality/PAN parameters.

Dual-Glass Module Construction

The AOX-72M10HC combines 2.0mm high-transmission AR-coated front glass with 2.0mm heat-strengthened rear glass. The glass-glass construction protects the cell laminate from both sides while permitting rear-side irradiance to reach the bifacial cells.

The module also uses an anodized aluminum frame, EVA encapsulation and an IP68-rated junction box with three bypass diodes. These components form the mechanical and electrical protection system for long-term outdoor photovoltaic operation.

Temperature Performance for Hot-Climate Projects

The maximum-power temperature coefficient is specified at -0.30%/°C. This value describes how rated power changes as cell temperature moves away from the 25°C STC reference condition.

Temperature coefficient is an important module-selection parameter for high-irradiance and hot-climate projects because photovoltaic cell temperature can remain significantly above ambient temperature during peak generation hours.

Mechanical Load and Outdoor Reliability

5400Pa Front-Side Snow Load

The current datasheet specifies a maximum tested front-side mechanical load of 5400Pa. Final structural suitability depends on mounting configuration, clamp location and local project design requirements.

2400Pa Rear-Side Wind Load

The rear-side load rating is specified at 2400Pa. Mounting systems and trackers should be checked for compatibility with the module dimensions, frame profile and required mechanical load.

Hail Impact Resistance

The current specification states hail resistance against a maximum 25mm diameter hailstone at an impact speed of 23m/s.

1500VDC System Compatibility

The AOX-72M10HC supports a maximum system voltage of 1500VDC under the stated IEC specification and a maximum series fuse rating of 25A.

String length must be engineered according to module Voc, minimum site temperature, inverter maximum DC input voltage, MPPT operating range and applicable electrical codes.

Applications for 580W-615W Bifacial Solar Panels

Commercial and Industrial Rooftops

Up to 23.80% module efficiency allows more DC capacity to be installed within a limited module footprint. The 31.5kg module weight and roof structural capacity should be considered during engineering.

Ground-Mounted Solar Farms

The 580W-615W power range, 1500VDC architecture and bifacial design make the AOX-72M10HC relevant to large ground-mounted projects where module count, energy yield and system-level economics are important.

Agrivoltaic and High-Albedo Installations

Elevated bifacial installations can utilize reflected light from soil, vegetation, light-colored surfaces or other reflective ground conditions when array geometry allows sufficient rear-side irradiance.

Tracker-Based PV Systems

Bifacial modules are frequently evaluated for single-axis tracker projects because elevated module positioning can improve rear-side irradiance exposure. Mechanical and electrical compatibility with the selected tracker must be confirmed during project design.
