In a typical hybrid solar system, PV modules generate DC electricity that is converted by the OCEH6K for household AC loads. Surplus solar energy can be directed to the battery, while stored battery energy can be used later when solar generation is insufficient or electricity tariffs are higher.
When grid power is available, the inverter can coordinate solar generation, battery charging, household consumption and grid interaction. During an outage, correctly configured backup loads can continue operating from the PV and battery system through the backup output.

The OCEH6K accepts a maximum PV input power of 9000W and a maximum PV open-circuit voltage of 550V. Its MPPT operating range is 80–520V, with a full-power MPPT range of 250–500V and a nominal PV input voltage of 360V.
Two MPPT trackers provide a maximum input current of 19A per tracker and a maximum short-circuit current of 25A per tracker. This architecture gives installers additional flexibility when configuring PV strings and rooftop orientations.
The OCEH6K is a low-voltage hybrid inverter with a battery operating range of 40–60V and a recommended nominal battery voltage of 48V. It supports both lithium and lead-acid battery systems.
For compatible lithium battery systems, RS485 and CAN interfaces can be used for BMS communication. Maximum charging and discharging current is 120A, allowing the inverter to handle demanding battery-storage applications when matched with a suitable battery bank.
The OCEH6K provides 6kW nominal grid output and 6kW nominal backup output. Automatic grid-to-backup switching is specified at less than 20ms, helping maintain continuity for appropriately selected backup loads.
Short-term overload capacity is specified as 110% for 10 seconds, 150% for 5 seconds, 180% for 1 second and 200% for 100 milliseconds. Proper load sizing remains important, particularly for motors, pumps, compressors and other equipment with high starting current.

The OCEH6K includes multiple inverter protection functions, including a DC switch, DC reverse-polarity protection, Type II DC/AC surge protection, AC overvoltage protection, AC short-circuit protection, ground-fault monitoring, anti-islanding protection, residual-current monitoring and insulation-resistance monitoring.
WiFi/LAN communication and APP monitoring allow system performance to be viewed remotely, while the integrated touch LCD provides local operating information. RS485 communication is available for EMS or meter integration.
The OCEH6K is primarily suitable for residential and small-scale single-phase solar energy-storage systems requiring solar self-consumption, battery storage and backup functionality.
Typical applications include home PV plus battery systems, residential backup-power systems, Time-of-Use energy management, areas with unstable grid supply, and solar installations where a 48V low-voltage battery platform is preferred.
Hybrid inverter installation involves high-voltage PV DC wiring, battery connections, grid AC wiring and backup-load circuits. Installation and commissioning should therefore be completed by a qualified installer in accordance with the OCEH6K manual, battery manufacturer's requirements and applicable local electrical regulations.
Before selecting PV modules or batteries, confirm PV string voltage, MPPT current, battery voltage, battery BMS communication, charging current, backup-load requirements and local grid-connection requirements.
